New Trustees to Foundation Announced

The Foundation board has elected three new trustees effective immediately, including Kenneth Bentsen, ELA’s incoming President, John McCue, President, CEO and Founder of McCue Systems, Inc., and Joe Stewart, COO of Chase Equipment Leasing to fill unexpired terms. Ken Bentsen, who succeeds Michael Fleming this summer, is a former congressman who represented the 25th District in Texas in the U.S. House of Representatives and who served on the Budget, Financial Services and Small Business Committees. Prior to joining ELA, Ken was a managing director with Public Strategies, Inc., an Austin, Texas based strategic consulting firm. His trustee term expires in 2009.
John McCue has worked in the software industry for 34 years in the leasing and specialized lending fields. In October 2003, John was elected to the Board of Directors of the Equipment Leasing Association, is a former chair of the Service Providers Business Council, a past member of the ELA Industry Future Council and the ELA Operations and Technology Committee. Mr. McCue is a former member of the ELA’s Corporate Affairs Council and a charter member of The Lessors Network. He is eligible for re-election when his term expires later this year.
Joe Stewart has been in the equipment leasing industry since 1982 when he worked for Greyhound Leasing & Financial Corporation. A longtime industry member, he also has held positions with JPMChase, Valley National Bank, and Banc One Leasing. His term expires in 2008.
All trustees are eligible for re-election when their term expires.
