The Equipment Leasing & Finance Foundation conducts and commissions research ongoing. Research, conducted by academics and industry consultants, advances the Foundation's mission to provide credible, unbiased future-focused research on the equipment lease finance industry. To date, the Foundation has funded more than $1.5 million in research grants.

The Foundation provides thousands of dollars in grants annually.

Tips for a Winning Proposal
When reviewing or considering a proposal, prospective researchers and the Foundation Research Committee should answer the following questions to help identify a "winner."

After reading this study:

  1. How can the reader use this study?
  2. How will the reader change his business?
  3. How can you implement this study within your company?
  4. How do you apply the findings within the industry?
  5. What additional questions does this study raise?

How Proposals are Evaluated
Proposals are evaluated by the Research Committee on the following attributes:

  1. Scope of Appeal
  2. Subject is Interesting/Topical/Future Oriented
  3. Fit to Mission
  4. Proposal Availability
  5. Researcher Credibility
  6. Cost to Value
