2006 State of the Industry Report
The 2006 State of the Industry Report is now available.
In addition to analyzing the Survey of Industry Activity, this year's State of the Industry Report focuses on a number of topics critical to the industry:
- Facing a growing customer demand for offshore capabilities - The increasing globalization of the US economy is creating demand for lessors to offer global financing solutions even for small customers
- Dealing with a negative industry perception - Bad press over the past several years has created a negative perception of leasing among some clients. While independents appear to be the most affected, banks and captives must also work to help reverse public perception
- Increasing the overall size of the leasing market - Growth in investment in business equipment has not exceeded ten percent in the past five years.
