2006 Industry Future Council Report
Twenty of the industry's leaders recently met under the auspices of the Equipment Leasing and Finance Foundations 2006 Industry Future Council. The resulting report, the Industry Future Council Report, is an invaluable strategic and tactical tool. It offers a look at the influencing forces, variables and market-changing trends, that signal the pace and direction of the business for the next three to five years. The 2006 discussion included identification of opportunities and challenges, at look at the commodization of the lease product, discussion on the maturing of the industry, regulatory and tax issues impacting the industry, customer loyalty, competition, available resources and the industry's image. The report, published by the Equipment Leasing and Finance Foundation, to be released in late February, is sponsored by American Lease Insurance.
This year's Industry Future Council report, differing from previous issues, will serve as a roadmap/resource manual for use within your company. Lessors may use the report to help themselves ask questions, about how the trends identified by the IFC apply to their companies. Presented as a worksheet for internal discussions, the resource manual should be an invaluable tool for all lessors.
