Many changes are afoot at the Foundation from the Board of Trustees discussing new ways to deliver on our mission to accepting nominees to join the board. As our fundraising campaign continues through 2010, we would like to hear from you both in the way of donations as well as in the form of comments and suggestions about how we may better serve your research needs. In the meantime, check out our new studies available, such as the Infrastructure study, new ways to participate from downloading web seminars, and how to submit online reviews of our research products. | Monthly Confidence Index Shows Continued Optimism The Equipment Leasing & Finance Foundation’s Monthly Confidence Index (MCI) for the Equipment Finance Industry (MCI-EFI) shows that the industry is growing more optimistic each month. Overall, confidence in the equipment finance market is 67.4, a steady increase for the last three months and up from April 2010 index of 65.4. When asked about the outlook for the future, survey respondent James Ambrose of GE Healthcare Finance said, “I am still cautious about the year overall, but am pleasantly surprised with how the first half of 2010 is shaping up from a new business activity standpoint.” Designed to collect leadership data, the index reports a qualitative assessment of both the prevailing business conditions and expectations for the future as reported by the key executives from the equipment finance industry.

| Foundation Board Wants to Hear From You The Foundation Board of Trustees recently began re-evaluating and renewing our focus on the organization’s vision, mission and purpose. To further the Board's ongoing discussion, the Board agreed to delve deeper into donor engagement and expand audiences. Soon, the Foundation will be surveying its contributors to better understand their draw to the Foundation’s work, what they are seeking, how they wish to be involved, and ideas for future engagement.

Web Seminars Now Available for Download, On CD Two recent, popular Foundation webinars are now available for purchase, via download or CD-ROM.
The web seminars, Credit Scoring for the New Economy and Captive Finance in Challenging Times, combined findings from recent Foundation studies and input from panelists who shared their insights about the topics at hand.

Editorial Review Board Determines Journal Line-Up The Journal of Equipment Lease Financing (the Journal) is the industry’s premiere publication that delves deeply into leading research across all the major topics of equipment finance. As the most widely used and cited journal on equipment finance today, each issue of the Journal reaches more than 10,000 industry participants, academics, finance professionals, libraries, government and financial institutions around the country.
The editorial board met recently and determined a number of topics to be included in future issues.

| Have you Written a Review of Foundation Products Yet? A new feature on the Foundation library now allows visitors to post reviews of Foundation studies. Anyone who has received a Foundation research study or report is encouraged to post an online review to help other interested parties in making a download decision. At the bottom of each web page about a Foundation product, you will see a button that reads “Review this product.” Click on it and a form will appear in which you may leave a comment.

The Foundation nominating committee currently is taking nominee suggestions for the Board of Trustees.

| Foundation Campaign Raises 45% of Goal to Date Foundation fundraising campaign letters were distributed this spring, and the contributions are beginning to roll in. The Foundation seeks to raise $450,000, and has received 45 percent to date of the goal to date.
